Yellowstone Cannabis Care license no longer active in South Dakota
South Dakota's medical cannabis program recorded at least 12 license deactivations on August 6, including Yellowstone Cannabis Care.

The move is part of a larger wave of deactivations recorded the same day affecting at least a dozen operators across the state, including Royzzz locations, Northern Hills Alternative Health, Dakota Health and Wellness, and Superior Buds.
Official records show Yellowstone Cannabis Care held both a medical cannabis cultivation and dispensary license in Fort Pierre with active status prior to deactivation. The reason for the license loss was not specified in the roster. South Dakota's medical program currently lists 52 open retail locations, 30 cultivation licenses, and 14 manufacturing licenses in operation.
The cluster of simultaneous deactivations suggests possible regulatory action or a compliance event rather than isolated closures. Whether additional licenses are at risk or whether the state intends to provide clarity on the cause warrants monitoring in coming regulatory filings.
