Flow Kana distributor license deactivated in California
Flow Kana's commercial distributor license has been marked inactive on the state roster, following several other closures this week.
FILE — closure · Ivan Radic / CC BY 2.0Flow Kana's California commercial distributor license (C11-0001065-LIC) is no longer active, according to the state license roster updated August 6. The deactivation adds to a small wave of closures in the past three days—StashCo and Fresh Flower Daily also lost active status earlier this week—suggesting routine license churn in a mature market with 1,260 open retail outlets.
The timing coincides with brisk licensing activity: three new retail licenses were issued the same day (Leaf Society, Tujunga Hills LLC, and San Pablo Responsible and Compliant Retail), and several operators underwent ownership or name changes. The California Department of Cannabis Control also issued guidance this week on license conversions following federal rescheduling, which may drive further transitions.
Watch whether Flow Kana seeks reinstatement or if the deactivation reflects a permanent exit from the distributor market.
