Cannabis cultivator and processor exits New York market amid broader August churn affecting multiple operators.
FILE — closure · Ivan Radic / CC BY 2.0Humble Hill Farm LLC's adult-use licenses in New York have been marked inactive, according to the state license roster updated August 25. The company held three active licenses—a cultivator permit (OCM-CULT-24-000096), a distributor license (OCM-DIST-24-000058), and a processor license (OCM-PROC-24-000074)—all now inactive. The closure follows a pattern of operator exits and ownership transfers across New York's market in late August.
The timing coincides with closures of at least five other licensed entities this month—Bison Botanics, Birdsong Hemp Company, Pioneer Plant Tech, Real Life Botanicals, and The Greenery—alongside multiple ownership transfers and new license issuances. New York's adult-use market currently supports 877 active retail locations, 249 cultivators, and 509 manufacturers, with 414 applications pending.
Watch whether the August closure cluster reflects seasonal operational challenges, regulatory enforcement actions, or market consolidation pressures as the state's licensing framework matures.
