Maryland Cannabis Administration schedules policy webinar and workforce conference

State regulator announces educational events as Maryland's licensed operator base expands and sales stabilize.

Maryland's Cannabis Administration is convening a policy webinar and workforce conference, according to reporting by Outlaw Report. The timing coincides with continued licensing activity in the state: as of late August, Maryland operates 126 retail locations, 27 cultivation licenses, and 30 manufacturing permits.

Recent license issuances underscore operator momentum. Between mid-August and late August, the state approved new cultivators (Floriat LLC and TrustiGrow LLC), a manufacturer (Green Fire), and five new retail entrants including Chronic Corners and SOL of Potomac Dispensary. One operator, Kaycha MD LLC, saw its license deactivated during the same period.

Maryland's monthly sales have remained relatively stable, ranging between $97.4 million and $109 million in recent months (February–July 2026). The webinar and conference appear positioned to address industry capacity and compliance as the operator base matures.
