Michigan CRA Recalls Nuggz Nectar Infused Drinks Over THC Limit Concerns
Kalamazoo-based Season 3, LLC voluntarily pulled nine flavors of its 200mg cannabis drink after testing suggested products may exceed allowable potency.
FILE — edibles · Mx. Granger / CC0Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) and Kalamazoo-based Season 3, LLC announced a voluntary recall of Nuggz Nectar Infused Drink products, citing test results indicating the 200mg edibles may exceed the state's allowable THC concentration limits, according to a CRA press release dated August 20, 2026.
What Triggered the Recall
The CRA release states Season 3, LLC is also investigating "potential potency variability and homogeneity" in the drinks and has found that the affected products carry an inaccurate serving-count declaration on their labeling.
Nine flavors are covered by the recall: Blue Razz, Cherry Bomb, Grape, Green Apple, Hulk Juice, Lemonade, Mango, Tropical Punch and Watermelon Splash, per the CRA.
As of August 18, 2026, no adverse health effects or other adverse events tied to the recalled products had been reported to Season 3, LLC, the agency said.
Where the Products Were Sold
The recalled drinks reached licensed retail locations in Muskegon, Lansing, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, according to the CRA. Season 3, LLC is working with those retailers to retrieve and dispose of remaining inventory.
Consumers who purchased the products are directed by the CRA to consult its recall bulletin for METRC package tag details, and to return items to the point of purchase or dispose of them safely. Adverse reactions can be reported through the agency's Adverse Reaction Form or by phone at 517-284-8599, per the release.
Database Context
Our official license records show no entry specifically matching Season 3, LLC, meaning the company's licensing status and retail footprint cannot be independently cross-checked against our tracked database at this time.
The same August 20 CRA release also references a slate of other unrelated enforcement actions dated around the same period, including a recall involving Fantasy Farms LLC, formal complaints against Monroe-based Fire Farm LLC (dba Crave Cannabis) and New Buffalo-based Weber Family Ventures (dba The Plug), and a notice of intent to exclude an individual, Chad Wurtzel, from the state's marijuana market — indicating the Nuggz Nectar recall arrives amid a broader run of CRA disciplinary activity, though these matters are otherwise unconnected.
State license stats in our database show Michigan currently has 923 open retail licenses, 2,545 cultivation licenses, 335 manufacturing licenses and 38 testing labs, as of an August 21, 2026 update.
Monthly sales filings in our database show Michigan cannabis sales of roughly $270.5–270.9 million in July 2026 (two closely aligned but not identical figures appear in our records) compared with about $252.8–253.1 million in June 2026, suggesting a modest month-over-month increase, though the source of the discrepancy between the July entries is unclear from available data.
Separately, MMJDaily reported on August 13 that Michigan's cannabis sales fell 5% even as neighboring Ohio's market surged 22%, and multiple outlets, including wlns.com and Detroit Metro Times, have reported ongoing debate over Michigan's 24% wholesale cannabis tax — broader market pressures against which this recall unfolds.
WSMH reported on August 5 that a separate Michigan dispensary was ordered closed for selling pounds of product along with recalled items, underscoring that regulators have taken firm enforcement stances on recalled inventory in the state, though that case does not involve Season 3, LLC or Nuggz Nectar.
What to Watch
It remains unclear from the CRA's release what specific corrective actions Season 3, LLC will take beyond retrieving existing inventory, or whether further testing will confirm the suspected THC overage. Consumers and retailers are being pointed to the CRA's recall bulletin for updates as the investigation into potency variability continues.
