Bulrush LLC gains Massachusetts microbusiness license as market shows churn

The approval comes on a day marked by operational churn: Pure Oasis LLC and Grassp Ventures LLC licenses were both deactivated, while Trichome Health Corp. completed a legal name change to Bud's Goods & Provisions Corp.
The new license enters a market in flux. Massachusetts reported $156.4 million in adult-use sales in June 2026, a modest uptick from prior months, with 456 retail locations currently operating. However, the state's regulatory environment remains volatile: the Cannabis Control Commission halted cultivator license applications in mid-June, and a ballot measure to repeal legalization proceeded to voters after a court rejected a legal challenge to block it.
The microbusiness model—which typically combines cultivation, manufacturing, and retail in a single entity—suggests the state is still licensing smaller-scale operators despite broader regulatory uncertainty. Whether the sector stabilizes or contracts further may hinge on the outcome of the November repeal ballot measure.
