FILE — harvest · My 420 Tours / CC BY-SA 4.0Michigan's adult-use market pushed monthly sales to $270.9M in July, up from $253.1M in June, a gain of roughly $17.8M that stands out as the largest dollar move among this week's state filings. Adult-use sales alone totaled $270.5M, with medical sales contributing just $0.3M, underscoring how thoroughly the state's medical program has been absorbed into the recreational channel.
Gainers Broaden Beyond Michigan
Montana posted the sharpest percentage increase of the week, with July sales rising to $29.7M from $27.2M in June, an approximately 9.2% gain. Maryland sales climbed to $109M in July from $103M the prior month, while New Mexico rose to $49.8M from $46.9M over the same filing period. Maine sales increased to $42.2M in June from $40M in May, split almost evenly between adult-use ($20.9M) and medical ($21.3M) channels. Connecticut ticked up to $25.6M in July from $24.7M, and Colorado edged higher to $107.5M in May from $105.1M in April.
Softer Prints in the Northeast and West
Massachusetts sales fell to $161.5M in July from $169.4M in June, a decline of roughly 4.7% that marked the steepest pullback among filers this week. Oregon slipped to $77.6M in August from $79.6M in July, Vermont eased to $13M in June from $13.3M in May, and Arizona dipped to $105.7M in May from $107.9M in April. Illinois sales came in at $262.2M for June, down from $266.8M in May.
California and Canada
California's quarterly filing showed $1,013.2M in sales for the quarter starting April 1, 2026, reported on a quarterly rather than monthly cadence per state practice. In Canada, national sales reached $517.8M CAD in June, up from $510.4M CAD in May, a gain of about 1.4% and the only non-U.S. figure in this week's filings.
What to Watch
State filings continue to arrive on staggered lags — Oregon's August print is the most current in this week's set, while Colorado and Arizona data reflect May activity. Massachusetts' average price per gram stood at $3.87 as of June, and Connecticut reported 908,491 products sold in July, both metrics worth tracking as markets head into fall reporting cycles.
